On September 15, 2015, the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society and its partners, will deliver the 54,829 signatures collected during the Visa Liberalization campaign.

At 14:00, the petition will be delivered to the representative of the EU office in Kosovo, Mr. Samuel Zbogar at the EU Info Center in Prishtina; whereas at 15:00 to the Minister of the Ministry of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Ҫollaku, at his office, in the Ministry’s building, room P37.

The Visa Liberalization campaign has started in April 2015, with an open letter of the Civil Society addressed to the High Representative of the European Union Ms. Federica Mogherini. The campaign continued with sensitizing posters placed at the Prishtina International Airport that carry messages of no freedom of movement, as well as in all social networks. The campaign also included an online petition collecting almost 4,000 signees. The signatures were collected in seven major municipalities of Kosovo, where citizens also have had the opportunity to mail personalized post-cards to Mr. Zbogar and Minister Ҫollaku expressing their main concern – that is, the legitimate right – the lack of freedom of movement. 54,829 citizens expressed their willingness to sign this petition, whereas 1,020 of them also sent post-cards.

A documentary film with the same topic is expected to be screened during October 2015.
