The Kosovo Foundation for Open Society, founded in September 1999, is part of the Open Society Foundations - a network of philanthropic foundation and the biggest private donor of independent groups working for justice, democratic governance and human rights.

Kosovo Foundation for Open Society awards grants and implements its own projects with the aim of building an inclusive society and a vibrant democracy in Kosovo. At the moment, the Foundation’s work focuses on four main programmatic themes.


To advocate for change, the Foundation has established a number of branded platforms that foster open dialogue and highlight original research and good public policies.
