The Civic Energy Center in North Mitrovica was established in 2015, spearheaded by our partners NGO Aktiv. After the great success achieved with this center, a similar center was established in Gracanica in 2019 and is led today by our other partner the Forum for Development and Multiethnic Cooperation, FDMC.
These two centers are connected through programs they implement and they are the epicenters and drivers of Serb civic activism in Kosovo. Both centers are open for all citizens to be included in an open dialogue and encourage them to participate in designing their social reality by offering them a platform in which public opinion can express its position clearly. The aim of the centers is the development of democracy, the cultural of public discussion and finding choices for current political, economic and social problems together. Both centers focus on the Serb community in Kosovo and include other communities that live in the surrounding area.
