Confident that Kosovo’s future lies within the Euro-Atlantic structures, Forum 2015 is particularly committed to prepare Kosovo for integration into the EU. The topics chosen for Forum 2015’s projects reflect this ambitious mindset, and are consequently cross-sector in range.
Kosovo’s institutions are still maturing. Forum 2015 believes it is crucial to debate and research pressing issues in order to make Kosovo’s development smoother and the encumbrances smaller. Raising awareness and competencies within Kosovo’s civil society, as well as among political, academic and business actors will help enable Kosovo to face its future challenges.
Forum 2015’s activities reflect our broader strategy of competence building and advocacy in support of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
Our high-profile discussion events offer an arena where local and international decision-makers, experts and stakeholders meet and debate topics of pressing relevance to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic ambitions.
With Forum 2015’s publications, Kosovo’s decision-makers are provided with research, analysis and substantive policy proposals. Our publications preserve relevant recommendations and concerns raised at the discussion events, and inspire continuing debate.
As part of our advocacy strategy, Forum 2015 ensures that our events and publications are widely publicized and broadcasted. We react to day-to day developments in Kosovo, issue statements, prepare policy papers and arrange meetings and press conferences to quickly advocate our analyses and proposals.
Since Forum 2015’s establishment, our projects have developed and strengthened Kosovo’s civil society and, more broadly, political culture. This achievement is in itself key for preparing Kosovo for Euro-Atlantic integration.
Our previous projects have focused on the unresolved status issue, developments in Kosovo’s economy and education system, decentralization, as well as other topics of immediate concern for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
At Forum 2015, we acknowledge the importance of utilizing and nurturing Kosovo’s own resources. Connecting Kosovo’s intellectual energy and focusing it on pressing contemporary topics is central to Forum 2015’s competence building strategy.
In concrete terms, we actively involve other civil society actors and experts in our projects – through cooperation, delegation and/or funding. Selecting and gathering academics, politicians, and representatives from the business sector, Forum 2015 provides these with a unique arena for cooperation, debate and production.
Forum 2015 has wide-ranging contacts also among prominent regional and international civil society actors, diplomats, experts and politicians. These are selectively called upon to contribute to our projects when appropriate.
