Visits of Writers’ Caravan “Agim Deva” to schools in Kosovo

Caravan of Writers for children will visit schools in five municipalities (Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Rahovec/Orahovac, Istog/Istok, Shtime/Štimlje, Gjilan/Gnjilane) where Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian pupils attend classes. A group of seven well-known writers including: Ibrahim Kadriu, Gani Xhafolli, Arif Demolli, Xhevat Syla, Kujtim Paqaku, Rexhep Jashari and Blerta Qehaja will visit schools in following order: 10.10.2012 at 10:00  Primary School “Selman Riza” Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje 17.10.2012 at 12:00  Primary School “Bajram Curri” Istog/Istok 24.10.2012 at 11:00  Primary School “Ardhmëria” Rahovec/Orahovac 31.10.2012 at 10:00  Primary School “Naim Frashëri” Shtime/Štimlje 14.11.2012 at 10:00  Gjilan/Gnjilane Writers will hold a literary hour with schoolchildren. Photography Exhibition “Don’t Look Down On Me” by Artan Korenica

“Don’t Look Down on me” consists of 40 photographs of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities from Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro. The photographer, Artan Korenica, started to work on this project a year ago inspired by true events of discrimination of the above mentioned communities. He felt obliged to make a small step against human discrimination through his artistic work. Exhibition will be open on September 28th 2012 18:00 at the Achaeological Park of the Museum of Kosovo in Pristina. The exhibition will stay open until October 5th 2012 . Photograhy exhibition “Chachipe” in Gjakova

On Wednesday 26th of September 2012 at 16:00 the photography exhibition “Chachipe Youth” will be open for public at the Cultural Center “Asim Vokshi” in Gjakova. The exhibition is organized by Open Society Foundations, Kosovo Foundation for Open Society and Hungarian Embassy in Kosovo. Distribution of school packages for RAE pupils has started

Distribution of school packages for Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian pupils, which is taking place in community centers in five towns around Kosovo. Summer school for active citizenry for youth of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, 1-8 July 2012, Durrës, Albania

Kosovo Foundation for Open Society-KFOS in cooperation with Ministry of Education, Science and Technology-MEST and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports-MCYS, for the third time are organizing Summer school for active citizenry for youth of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, which will be held as of 1-8 July 2012 inDurrës,Albania.
